Become a 10th Anniversary
Champions for Children Benefit Patron

Winnie's 10th anniversary   group of children

For the past nine years HCEF friends have gathered together to honor unselfish heroes who work in our community advocating for all children, particularly the underserved and under-represented who are in crisis. In 2009 we will celebrate HCEF's founders, those who joined with Dr. Joe Lagana to create a non-profit organization that would speak for and promote equality of educational opportunities for children who are homeless in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. We also will honor our 2009 Champion for Children Award designee Pennsylvania Secretary of Education Gerald Zahorchak.

If you are reading this, you likely are already a friend of HCEF and so a champion for the children living in our neighborhoods' emergency shelters, transitional and permanent housing.

We invite and encourage you now to become a 2009 Champions for Children Benefit Patron. You can easily do so by printing, completing, and returning the patron response form, knowing as you do so that you are helping provide some of the critical educational support services the children need.
