Our Host and Patron chairs

Our very good friends Ralph J. Papa, President of Citizens Bank of Pennsylvania, and his wife Ruth Anne are once again serving as Honorary Benefit Hosts while James Roddey and Dr. Karen Feinstein serve as Benefit Patrons.

Serving as hosts with the Papas (as of 1/2/08) are Joyce Bender, Congressman Mike and Susan Doyle, Audrey Hillman Fisher, Brett and Sarah Keisel, James and Judith Stalder, State Representative Don and Julie Walko. Patrons to date are Stephanie Bozic, Robert and Irene Bozzone, Dr. Karen Feinstein, Drs. Jim and Terri Henderson, Henry and Elsie Hillman, Jeff and Kathy Kumer, Joe and Lynn Lagana, Maggie Hardy Magerko, Karen McIntyre, Thomas and Eileen McConomy, Dr. Barbara Mistick, James Roddey, Lynne Scanga, Andy and Barb Shank, Lou and Kathy Testoni, Sister Linda Yankoski.

There are two ways you can join them as hosts or patrons.

You have the option of printing and completing a form that you can then mail to HCEF along with your payment or of completing the transaction on-line. Click here.

Interested in $125 general admission tickets?

Clicking on the button below will take you to our ReadySet Auction event page. Here you must again click on a Tickets button (either at the upper right of your screen or along the left margin). The ticket page displays and you can select your ticket type.

Champions invitations will be mailed in January, so if you prefer not to use the on-line ticket option you will be able to purchase tickets by responding to the print invitation. Please call 412-562-0154 with any questions.

Participate in our first-ever on-line auction

Like the proceeds from the silent and live auctions that will take place during the Champions event, the complete proceeds of this pre-Benefit opportunity to bid on several one-of-a-kind items are designated in support of HCEF's educational programming for children experiencing homelessness. Join in the fun by clicking on this button:

Complete instructions for registering as a bidder and placing bids are provided. You'll want to bookmark the auction page so that you can return to it easily and often.

Champions Benefit awardees

The highlight of the 2008 Benefit will be the honoring of the late Gwen Elliott and her extraordinary legacy – Gwen's Girls – with the Champion for Children Award and Father Regis Ryan, executive director of F.O.R Sto-Rox (Focus on Renewal – serving the needs of McKees Rocks and Stowe Township) with the Linda A. Dickerson Award. Learn how Gwen's Girls and Focus on Renewal are reaching out to the children and youth of our community.

And then see HCEF's honor roll of past awardees.

What to expect

Guests will be treated to a live and silent auction, gourmet hors d'oeurves, and spectacular confections provided by the area’s best chocolatiers.
