We believe:
Children and teens experiencing homelessness deserve equal access and full participation in the same educational and enrichment oportunities enjoyed by their stably housed peer.

Come on in!

Children are naturally creative. This girl and boy are no exception.

Just as naturally, they take great delight in their work — be it expressed through art and crafts, through music, through performance, through creative writing, through scientific experimentation. And they're not the only ones having fun as they learn new ways of doing and thinking. The LabRatz instructors, for example, have been known to "literally fight with each other over going to the shelters instead of going to schools. Everyone loves the kids at the shelters. They seem to be more inquisitive and more enthusiastic in general."

And when moms and children work together to create, something truly special happens between them.

HCEF is committed to nurturing the creative expression of "our" children.

We celebrate them. And we celebrate their work here on . . .
