Mini-Grant and Summer Field Trip Calendar: June 2011 – May 2012

June 2011

  • Mini-Grant Kick-off Breakfast (June 3)
  • Applications for field trip funding due to AIU/HCEF

July 2011

  • Mini-Grant application deadline: July 8 (submit via mail, fax, or email)
  • Summer field trips

August 2011

  • Mini-Grant Awards Breakfast (August 12)
  • Complete summer field trips
  • Summer field trip reports due to Nicole Anderson, AIU, by the end of August
  • Begin Mini-Grant projects

February 2012

  • Submit mid-year check-in report on Mini-Grant projects —
    a one-page survey asking agencies to report on progress of projects, funds expended/funds remaining, and any challenges encountered

April 2012

  • Site visits by members of the HCEF Mini-Grant Committee

May 2012

  • Final Mini-Grant report due May 18, 2012 —
    a comprehensive self-evaluation asking agencies to report on the impact of the project and the number of children/youth impacted
  • Agencies must submit all receipts and invoices for money spent.
  • Agencies are strongly encouraged to submit documentation of the grant projects, including but not limited to photos, written reflections, illustrations, parent/staff testimonials, pre/post-tests, surveys
