NEW TO THE GALLERY

First the children learned what it means to be "environmentally aware." They talked about things like "airborne contaminants" that affect their health. Hard words. Hard to say and to remember. But then, working with an adult partner, they drew their understanding of what an "environmentally safe community" would look like. It would be a place with lots of trees, clean creeks and rivers, clear blue skies, safe roads, safe schools, and grassy places where children can play safely.
